Hello World!

Hello Family and Friends! Justin and I are starting this blog so you can stay updated on all of the happenings with our family. I'll be sure to post lots of pictures here (once I figure out how), and try to keep this as up to date as I can. We hope you are enjoying this holiday season, and are surrounded by the ones you love.  Justin and I have had a wonderful year full of new and wonderful changes. We are so grateful for everyone who helped organize and put together the wedding, and also for all those who came to celebrate with us.  For those of you who haven't heard about our adventures in Mexico here it is! and for those of you who have... you can read it again!
Our first stop on our honeymoon was Cabo San Lucas. We spent some time swimming in the crystal clear water; Justin even tried to catch some fish.  We also took a water taxi tour to the end of Baja California, and saw lovers beach.
Our next stop was in Mazatlan, where we walked along the beach collecting shells. I even found a small unbroken sand dollar (which didn’t last long in my purse before it broke into a million pieces) Then we rented a wave runner and cruised around the ocean. While on the water we saw two small stingrays and even a seahorse, which Justin jumped off the wave runner and caught. (This was our favorite stop by far)

The last port of call was Puerto Vallarta where we took a taxi to the boardwalk. On the boardwalk there were beautiful statues, and giant sand sculptures. We walked around lots of shops there until lunchtime when we found a Mexican restaurant called Las Palomas.  It was a quiet restaurant with fresh tortilla chips, salsa and some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. Our server even invited us to stop by after being married a while to make sure we were still happy together.
We also enjoyed our time on the boat, by eating tons of delicious food, going to shows, and even ran into a friend of Justin’s who was also on his honeymoon. We also enjoyed watching the ocean to see what creatures we could find. We saw flying fish, a seal, and a school of dolphins.  On one of our last days Justin and his friend Cameron played doge ball vs. the crew on the top deck of the ship.
After our Cruise we packed up our things, said our goodbyes, loaded up the cars, and made the long, lonely drive to Utah. (we drove separate cars… not fun) Now we are living with Kim and Kathy Hugie in Wanship, situated next to a lake in the beautiful mountains. Justin is working for his dad at Uintah gas fireplaces, he is learning a lot and is getting his hands (and face) dirty. I am doing lots of cooking along with applying for jobs.
We look forward to spending time with our family and friends this holiday season, as we look back on all of our many blessings and opportunities. We wish you a happy Holidays and a Wonderful new year!
